Hypnotherapy

What is hypnotherapy?

Hypnosis is a state of focused attention, a trance-like state in which you have heightened focus, concentration and increased suggestibility.

Hypnosis is such a natural state, that each and every one of us go in and out of every day. When your driving the car to work...when you're scrolling through your phone, when you are watching TV, TRANCE! All I have to do as your hypnotherapist is to deepen the state that you already do so naturally.

While in hypnosis, you are never asleep, you are never unconscious, YOU the client are in control the ENTIRE time. You will hear everything that is said and everything that is done.

Hypnotherapy is a tool which is safe, but powerful, empowering people to transform their lives in areas which they may be struggling.

The subconscious mind is considered to be the source or root of many of our behaviours, emotions, attitudes & motivations.⠀
⠀⠀

Hypnosis is a powerful tool for accessing the subconscious mind and creating rapid improvements in our lives, in areas such as stress, sleep issues, anxiety, quit smoking, weight loss and PTSD.

What is hypnotherapy used for? Hypnotherapy is a powerful tool to make rapid change in areas of your life which need positive changes, such as

  • Weight loss
  • Quit smoking
  • Confidence and self esteem
  • Fears and phobias
  • Self improvement
  • Anxiety and stress

How does hypnosis work? Your mind is like an iceberg. If you can imagine the conscious mind is the bit at the top, which is where the analytical, rational mind is located.

Below the surface is where the subconscious mind is located, this part of the mind is driven by emotions, feelings and patterns.

The "critical faculty" is the gateway between the conscious and subconscious.

The benefits of hypnosis- The benefits of hypnosis includes:

  • Reduced anxiety and depressions symptoms
  • Reduced pain
  • Management of phobias and fears
  • Weight loss
  • Stopping smoking
  • Self esteem and confidence

I'm scared I will be made to say or do things against my will in hypnosis-

During hypnotherapy, the client is in control of their session, the entire time.
Clients can move, speak, scratch, open their eyes.
During a session, the client is aware of everything the entire time and can never be made to do anything against their will.

How many sessions of hypnotherapy will I need? This is determined during your 30 minute free consultationDuring your consultation, I want to fully understand where you are now, and how that contrasts with where you want to be.

I know that once we fully understand the difference between those to places emotionally, physically, and situationally for you, I'll be able to formulate a plan with how exactly to bring you from where you are now to your desired outcome or goal.

Second, I want to answer any questions that you might have about hypnosis, and how I can help you move forward.

I don't think I can be hypnotised- ALL hypnosis is self hypnosis, everyone can be hypnotised.  All you need to do is relax and follow my instructions, allowing me to facilitate the session and guide you deeper, to access your subconscious mind- which holds 95% of your thoughts, beliefs, memories, programs and behaviours.

Is hypnosis dangerous? Hypnosis is not a dangerous procedure. Hypnosis is not mind control and it is not brainwashing. The client is in control of their hypnotherapy session at all times.

Hypnotherapy is not recommended for people experiencing psychiatric disorders such as schizophrenia and BPD.
